Still Don’t Feel Like Yourself? You’re Not the Only One

Motherhood is a beautiful journey, but it’s also one that can leave you feeling worn out, disconnected, or unsure of yourself. If you’ve had a toddler for a while now and still don’t feel like you’ve fully “bounced back” or gotten back to your pre-pregnancy self, know that you aren’t alone.

It’s common for new moms to feel like something is missing or that they’re struggling to find balance, even as their children grow. After giving birth, your body and mind go through huge changes—and those changes don’t disappear once your baby becomes a toddler. In fact, as your little one gets older, you might still be dealing with the physical aftermath of childbirth, like pelvic pain, fatigue, or hormonal shifts.

On top of that, raising a toddler is no easy task. The constant demands of parenting can leave little room for self-care, rest, or the time needed to reconnect with yourself. You may feel like you’ve lost a sense of who you were before motherhood, and that’s perfectly okay.

Sometimes, “me time” looks a little different than what you might expect. It might not be a long bubble bath or a quiet walk. For many moms, it’s as simple as complete silence for a few minutes, or even just a break to breathe without interruptions. And that’s okay. Finding small moments of peace, no matter how brief, can be just as restorative as anything else.

Remember, it’s normal to need time to heal. Recovery doesn’t happen in six weeks or even six months—sometimes it takes years to fully reclaim your body and your sense of self. And you don’t have to do it alone. Seeking support—whether through therapy, physical care, or simply finding a trusted person to talk to—can help you navigate this time with more grace and understanding.

At Kinesioworx, we’re here for you. Whether it’s offering pelvic health support, guiding you through recovery, or simply providing a safe space for you to talk, we understand that healing takes time. You’re not broken, and you don’t need to “bounce back” right away. Healing is a journey, and you deserve to take it at your own pace.

If you’re struggling to feel like yourself after having a toddler, it’s okay to ask for help and give yourself grace. You are doing amazing, and you are not alone in this. Let us help you feel more like you again, step by step.
